THANK YOU to those in our community who provided lunch for our teachers and staff during teacher inservice in August. The ladies from Denson Springs, Lakeside, Muse, and Slocum Baptist churches, as well as Parents For Kids and Mrs. Freida Evans provided scrumptious lunches to start the school year off right! Thank you for your support!
Mrs. Severn's fourth grade class made flowers with coffee filters, pipe cleaners, clay, and a straw. They are studying the parts of a flower. They are also planning a field trip to the Lufkin Zoo and will be meeting with a Zoo Keeper to learn about the different species of animals. They will conduct a photo scavenger hunt and complete science reports when they get back to school.
Mrs. Becton's and Mrs. Gean's class read Dr. Suess' book Green Eggs and Ham. Today they ate green eggs and ham to see what Sam was really missing.
Mrs. Hogan's Family and Consumer Science class is learning how to sew. They are making their own tote bags.
