Slocum High School has had a busy Homecoming week. Everyone is excited to get decked out and show their school spirit. Each day of the week the kids were allowed to dress as something to show spirit. The days of the week were, Twin Day, Nerd Day, Camo Day, Cowboys and Indians and the last day of the week the day before the big homecoming game, Blue and White Day.
In other news, Mrs. Becton and Mrs. Gean’s Pre-kindergarten classes have learned about how to keep their body’s clean and healthy. Learning healthy ways of living, even the fun way of learning, will allow these kids to live long lives.
Mrs. Ives’ first grade and Mrs. Soileau’s kindergarten classes learned about Groundhog Day and even predicted if he would see his shadow.
Mrs. Severn’s fourth grade class is also learning about healthy ways of living. They are also learning how to keep safe in their community. Mrs. Severn says One Act Play is going well and all things have been gathered for the play. She along with the kids are excited about the play.
